About Us
Uri Brito is the Senior Pastor of Providence Church (CREC)
in Pensacola, Fl. He is the husband of Melinda and father of Abigail.
Originally born in Natal, Brazil, he has lived in the United States for 15
years. He received a B.A. in
Pastoral Studies from Clearwater Christian College, and upon embracing
the Reformed faith in his college years, he attended Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando,
Fl, where he received a M.Div. Uri studied under professors John Frame,
Richard Pratt, Simon Kistemaker, and other reformed scholars; all have shaped
his scholarship and catholicity.
His interests include, but are not limited to: Biblical and Sacramental
theology, Typology, Biblical Ethics, an ecclectic interest in movies, the
writings of James B. Jordan, Peter Leithart, and Douglas Wilson (though not
limited to these), Brazilian Soccer, wines, pipes and cigars, and God-ordained
feasting at all times and in all places.
